I am fascinated by the human impulse to shape the world we inhabit—to build places where we live, work, eat, gather, celebrate, and worship. These structures become more than shelter; they carry traces of climate, language, food, music, art, ancestry, and imagination.

Although people everywhere share many of the same needs, each culture expresses them in its own distinctive way. It is this uniqueness that enriches our world.

Some of what we create endures for centuries; others are expressions of the moment. In either case, they reflect something essential about the people who made them and the place they call home.

Together, these photographs explore the conversation between the natural world and the world we create, revealing that the boundary between inside and outside is often more porous than we might perceive.

Curiosity and connection are at the heart of this work. I hope these photographs invite you to pause, reflect, and perhaps engage in conversation.
